May Is One of the Busiest Times at Profesia Lab!
May is traditionally a very active month at Profesia Lab in Slovakia. This is when participants visit various workplaces to try out specific job roles and experience real employer environments firsthand. As we expand our opportunities to other countries where Alma Career operates, we look forward to seeing equally busy and vibrant months in Croatia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic very soon!
But before this exciting step, participating job seekers go through months of preparation. Over the course of 4 months, they attend a minimum of 15 group sessions focused on developing social and communication skills for the workplace. Through job coaching, they prepare their CV, a so-called Candidate Card, and assess their readiness to enter the open labor market. All tools used in Profesia Lab (or Inclusive Hub) are backed by long-term research in vocational rehabilitation.
Profesia Lab (and also Inclusive Hub) is a program that supports young people with disabilities in their transition from education to employment. Participation is completely free of charge. All costs are covered by Alma Career Slovakia, the operator of the job portal Profesia.sk.
The program is open to applicants under 30 years of age with less than 1 year of work experience (see eligibility criteria in the application). For applicants over 30, we offer individual consultations through the Výpomoc so srdcom (Help with Heart) program.
The program is designed not only for job seekers, but also for employers. It has a dual-customer character — meaning both sides receive support and preparation. Employers can take advantage of webinars, conferences, and individual consultations. The program also offers support in planning workplace visits and internships. Posting an internship job offer is free of charge.
