Guidance for conference participants

The Alma Inclusive 2026 Conference is a full-day event about inclusion and work. It will take place on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, in the Old Market Hall at Námestie SNP 25 in Bratislava. Approximately one third of participants will use assistive technologies and various aids, such as wheelchairs, glasses, white canes, hearing aids or speech-recognition software. Several visitors will have invisible specific needs. The text continues below the illustrative image.

What is Alma Inclusive?

Alma Inclusive is a conference for everyone. We want everyone to feel welcome here. Approximately 30% of visitors will use assistive technologies and aids.

Arrival at the conference
When to arrive: Between 8:30 and 9:00 AM
When we start: At 9:00 AM

What to do on arrival
  1. Put your things in the cloakroom (if you wish).

  2. Go to the registration desk.
    Say your first name.
    Take your name badge.

On your name badge you can, if needed, add stickers:

  • “Passive communication” – I just want to listen, I do not want to talk much.

  • “No photos” – I do not want to be photographed.

  1. If you have ordered an interpreting receiver (headphones), pick it up at registration.
    Some talks will be in English.
    Return the interpreting receiver when you leave the conference.

  2. Refreshments will only be available during breaks.
    8:30 – 9:00 AM (before the programme starts)
    10:40 – 11:15 AM (break)
    12:40 – 14:00 PM (break)

Seating in the hall

Most seats are unassigned. Some seats are reserved:
· For people with reduced mobility: By the stage on the left.
· For people who need to see the sign language interpreter: By the stage on the left.
· For speakers: By the stage on the right.

What is good to know
  • Quiet room: Opposite the toilets. You can go there if you need peace and quiet.​

  • Noise: We are trying to make sure it is not too noisy during the breaks. Videos on the screens will be without sound. They will have subtitles.

  • Assistance dogs: Assistance dogs may be present in the venue. Do not pet them. Do not feed them. The dogs are working and need to concentrate.

Guide: At the Alma Career Slovakia stand, you can pick up the guide “Employing people with disabilities”. The guide is for employers and for job seekers.

  • Recording: We will record video of the stage during the conference. Participants who requested it during registration will receive the recording.​

  • Name badges: When you leave, please return the lanyards from your name badges. We will recycle them.​

  • Volunteers: At registration, you will meet volunteers from Profesia Lab. They are gaining work experience here.

    They help people live an independent life.

    They bring together organisations and employers around diversity and offer various learning opportunities.

  • Bellus Labor (to the right)
    They help people prepare for working life.​

  • Institute for Work Rehabilitation (to the right)
    During the event, they will inform you about the possibility of cooperation in assessing the potential of a person whose work ability has changed.​

  • Refreshments during coffee breaks will also be provided by the social enterprise BIVIO.
